Our Board

I am honored to introduce myself – Quantisha “Tee” Perkins – as your newly elected President of the Southwest Alumni Association. It is a privilege to serve in this role, and I am excited for the opportunity to work alongside you in building a strong foundation rooted in love, dedication, and support for our Patriot community.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Keith Rhodes for his remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment to our organization. His vision and hard work has brought us many successes, and look forward to building upon the solid groundwork he has laid. As your president, my commitment is to lead with purpose and passion. Together, we will strengthen our alumni association by expanding membership, fostering strong community connections, raising funds to reinvest in our students, and supporting the needs of the school. I am eager to partner with each of you because I believe that when
we work together there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
I welcome your ideas, feedback, and questions – please feel free to reach out to me
directly.

My name is Thaddeus E. West and I am a proud member of the Class of 1973 from the Mighty Southwest High School. I met my wife and some of my best lifelong friends here at Southwest High. I met my wife, Jeniel Cornelius West (also Class of 1973), in 1971 and married her in 1978. We were blessed with two daughters, also Southwest Alumni. Our daughters are NaTasha Jeniel West (Class of 1999) and Melissa Danielle West (Class of 2003). After Southwest, my wife and I both graduated from Mercer University. I retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation in 2006. I attend Bethel CME Church, where I am extremely active in many things. I became partially involved with the Southwest Alumni Association prior to it’s inception in 2012. I became a dues paying member in 2013. I’m proud to serve as the Alumni Association’s Secretary at present. I want to personally extend an invitation to ALL Southwest alumni to come join us and give back to the school that was a huge building block in all of our foundations. The need is great and the laborers are few. Looking forward to you, yes you, joining us!!
